Overview
The project is currently projected to take a class of 30 students 3 weeks (with 50 minute class periods) to complete. This unit should be taught shortly after an introduction to graphing and towards with the beginning of the year, probably within the first month of school. The entire unit is mapped out below by week, with an overview for the daily activities, the facilitation and debriefing of events and the assessments relating to each day. Homework is listed on the day it is assigned and is always due at the beginning of the following class. All links within the plan of action are to the handout materials for the students and within the assessment page, the links are to the rubrics for that assignment. The time expected for each activity is in green, items that are optional for the students are in blue, potential experts for speakers are in red, and links to materials are in orange.
